Maureen Ekwebelem, B.S.

Research Assistant - Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine

Maureen Ekwebelem is a Research Assistant at Weill Cornell Medicine and a Master’s student in Data Science at Fordham University, specializing in Machine Learning and AI. She holds a B.S. in Human Development with a minor in Global Health from Cornell University and completed a post-baccalaureate in sciences at Fordham University.

With eight years of experience, Maureen has worked on research spanning palliative care, psychiatry, neural data analysis, global health, and implementation science- bringing a strong foundation in both qualitative and quantitative methods. She currently supports Dr. Daniel Shalev’s research, managing IRB coordination and contributing to studies focused on improving patient-centered care. Her interests lie at the intersection of research, data science, and health equity.
